This week’s guest blogger is Kelly from Eclectically Vintage.

My style is eclectic. I love mixing old with new, rustic with refined, and there’s nothing better then the thrill of the hunt and finding unique pieces to add to my home.

Isn’t it amazing how finding the perfect piece of furniture often leads to a complete room refresh? My search for the perfect accent table has finally ended.

This brass and glass coffee table mixes perfectly with my new find: a copper accent table I found at HomeGoods. I love the modern shape, the compact size that fits perfectly between two mid-century blue velvet chairs and, of course, the extra bit of glam it brings to my living room.

I must have hit the mother lode that day because I also came home with a rustic, carved-wood garden stool that fits perfectly next to my sofa. It adds interest and texture and it’s the perfect place to rest a pumpkin, a stack of books or a glass of wine.

To go along with the eclectic mix of brass, copper and wood, I’ve added a couple of vintage galvanized metal olive buckets that are perfect for holding fun driftwood pumpkins. An old window acts as a unique fireplace cover than can easily be removed when there’s a chill in the air.

I decided the room needed something soft to counteract all the hard surfaces. Pillows and throws are the perfect way to create a warm and inviting space, while also adding more texture, color and pattern.

I change the look of my mantel as often as I change my mind, so I wanted a simple fall display as my focal point of the room. I propped a few antique windows against the wall and added a piece of art from HomeGoods. I love the graphic look of real feathers framed in a shadow box. A single orange pumpkin adds a fun pop of color.

I’m thrilled with my two new accent tables and doubly thrilled that they motivated me to refresh my space for fall.
